What is the ANSWER Center?

The ANSWER Center, located at 510 Second Street, Henderson, was established November, 1999 and opened its doors the first of August, 2000.  The mission of the ANSWER Center is to Give the Answer of Jesus Christ to our community by providing needed services. The ANSWER Center offers FREE services for those in need in the community.  Call Kathy Strange, Director of Community Ministries (270) 827-9868 for information.  
 

What are the ministries of the ANSWER Center?

Clothing - Coordinators - Linda Large
Giving free clothing, 1 bag full every other month, to participants on Saturdays - 9-11 a.m. Each person registered may come one Saturday every other month to receive clothing for adults & children.

Household Items/Disaster Relief Kits- Coordinator - Sharon Dickerson
Household items such as, dishes, towels, flatware, sheets, etc are given to people trying to set up an apartment or home with needed items. These are essential items, no decorative items. The Disaster Relief Kits are new items given to those who have experienced a natural disaster or Domestic Abuse situation. These items are given to assist them in rebuilding their lives.

Kid's Korner - Coordinator- Janet Canter
Kid's Korner Ministry is a seasonal ministry for children. Easter, each child that comes into TAC receives a basket of goodies plus a story book of what Jesus did for them. Christmas, each child that comes into TAC receives a stocking of goodies plus a story book about the birth of Jesus & why He came to live among us. Back-To-School, this ministry runs through July & August. Each school age child that comes into TAC receives a packet full of all their school supplies plus a Bible.

Life Change Support Ministry - Coordinator - Jan White
This ministry works closely with the Henderson County Detention Center's Life Change Jail Ministry to assist by giving prayer support, helping meet clothing needs, purchasing Christmas gifts and supplying Bible study books and materials. 
 
Prayer Coordinator - Sue Randolph
This ministry receives prayer requests from our participants who visit the Center. It also includes sending prayer petitions to be included in the Western Recorder Prayer Partners.
