Dr. Bill Patterson will bring the message
The annual session of the Green Valley Baptist Association will meet on August 26th at Lawndale Baptist Church. The (mostly) business session will be at 4 pm followed by a dinner at the church at 5 pm. Please contact the association office at 827-9867 to let us know if you will stay for the dinner so the church can adequately prepare.

The annual session will conclude with a worship service at the church from 6:30-7:30 pm. The Lord has led me to preach on revival. If you want to be inspired, challenged, and motivated to take part in several exciting, upcoming events sponsored by the association, please pray and attend the annual meeting.

Yours in Christ, Bill Patterson

WORLD CHANGERS
JULY 11-15, 2011
Let's mark our calendars and be ready!!

"A Family of Churches Building Bridges Between God and Man, Between Our Churches and Between Churches and the Community"

"For we are God's fellow workers..."

1 Corinthians 3:9

WHAT DOES OUR ASSOCIATION DO?

1.  Nurture harmony in faith and practice in the churches.

2.  Nurture fellowship among the churches, church leaders and members.  It is a positive expression of mutual care and support for one another.

3.  Call the churches to be on mission.  It is a challenge to achieve the purpose for which churches/missions exist, both individually and together.

4.  Provide resources and services to churches and leaders.  It is a network for which churches regularly give and receive assistance.

5.  Train, develop and encourage church leaders and Associational workers.

6.  Provide opportunities of working together in missions, ministry, church growth and evangelism.

7.  Establish and maintain appropriate communication and relationship with the community and the denomination.

8.  Govern the association under the Lordship of Christ.  The Association as the local church, is autonomous and responsible for governing itself in missions.

9.  Plan and conduct the Association's program and manage its resources.

10.  Provide information about the churches to the denomination.  We are a "Liasion" to help our denomination provide materials and services to encourage church extension and church development in the local church.
