Kid’s Korner Back-to-School
We are making some changes in our Kid’s Korner Back-to-School Ministry scheduled for July and August. We had listed in our previous news article the request for basic school supply items to be donated to give to the children as part of the KK BTS Ministry. We have recently learned that the school system plans on furnishing all the basic supplies for all elementary and middle school students as they are able. For this reason, we are no longer requesting your donations of the supplies (paper, pencils, glue...). We will be furnishing backpacks with a New Testament this year in Kid’s Korner BTS Ministry. Eliza Broadus funding will help in purchasing the backpacks and we have many gently used backpacks that also will be given to the children.

New Eliza Broadus Grant Year
Our new Eliza Broadus grant year started on June 1st and we truly feel blessed to have these funds to meet more needs of our participants. This grant year will run from June 1, 2010-May 31, 2011. The TAC Life Change Support Ministry, Clothing Ministry, Household Ministry and the Kid’s Korner Ministry all receive funding to purchase new items for specific needs of participants.

Reports
I will be working on the TAC annual report in June and July and reviewing how our 2009-10 Eliza Broadus funds were spent including how many people we have helped in this reporting year. While these duties are administrative in nature I really enjoy looking at the visible results of another year of ministry. The numbers represent families and individuals that have received the Good News of Jesus, had physical needs met, received encouragement and prayer. I am thankful to be a part of this God centered ministry center.

Appreciation
We wish to thank each of you for your donations of spring/summer clothing, basic houseware items, prayers and support.   This ministry works because we work together to meet needs and share the love of Jesus Christ!

In HIS service,
Kathy Strange, Director of Community Ministries/ TAC
