GVBA Foundation Investing in Missions Forever
"Extravagant Giving Begets Extravagant Giving"
During December we're reminded of God's extravagant gift of sending His Son into the world at Bethlehem in the arms of a virgin girl named Mary. From the security and beauty of heaven, Jesus came to earth and humbled himself to become a servant. He died a shameful death on the cross so that we might become the sons of God.
Out of love and gratitude for God's generosity to you, I encourage you to prayerfully consider giving a gift of appreciated stocks, bonds, real estate, life insurance policy, etc. to your GVBA Foundation to fund mission work. You could do this now or put it in your will. By doing so, you'll experience the joy of knowing you're making a lasting difference in reaching people for Christ. The principal of your gift will remain in the foundation forever and the annual earnings from it will help fund The ANSWER center, Disaster Relief, Mission trips, etc. until Jesus returns.
Contact Phillip Basinger (270)827-9867 x15 or Bob Hardison (270)835-7811 to assist you with giving to the GVBA Foundation.
All of us want to make wise investments. One of the greatest is investing in ministry work through the Green Valley Baptist Association.
Your financial gifts to the Foundation will help change lives for Christ forever.
Purpose......
The purpose of the GVBA Foundation is to fund:
How you can help the Foundation
make a difference!
By giving to the GVBA Foundation, you will continue to see your hard-earned money reach and minister to people for Christ forever. Can you make a better investment than that?
Some of the ministries your money will fund are.....
The Answer Center
The Answer Center is Green Valley Baptist Association's new community resource ministry. Its mission is to give the ANSWER of Jesus Christ to our community by providing needed services.
A free medical clinic is the first phase of many outreach efforts planned to offer practical assistance and evangelistic outreach to the community. In addition to providing for the expenses of these ministries, funding will be used to provide a Bible to each family that visits the ANSWER Center.
Local Ministries
Another important project involves ministering locally to various language groups, economically deprived families, and special needs that arise involving individuals and families in the local area.
Disaster Relief
Another goal of the Foundation is kto help meet the needs of individuals and churches in the community following natural disasters such as tornadoes, fires, hurricanes, and floods in this area and throughout the country. Funding would provide supplies, equipment, and expense reimbursement for volunteer workers.
Mission Trips
One of the Foundation's goals is to provide funding for mission opportunities both overseas and stateside. This involves assisting volunteers with travel expenses and providing funding for specific mission projects.
Funds would also be used to help other churches in the association partner with Kentucky Baptists to do mission work in pioneer state areas and international missions. These ministries will vary from personal evangelism to church building projects, and training of lay people and pastors.

How it works.....
A nine-member board of directors elected by the GVBA administers the work of the Foundation. They will assist you in making contributions to the Foundation of cash gifts, certificates of deposit, stocks, bonds, IRAs, mutual fund shares, insurance policies, and real estate.
Your gifts will then be placed in a Foundation fund that is invested through the Kentucky Baptist Convention Foundation. The directors prayerfully decide the best way to distribute the monies earned for direct ministry and mission work, or you may specify how you want your money used. The principal amount you give will stay in the Foundation's funds, and the money earned from investment growth will continue to help others forever. All gifts are tax deductible.

FOUNDATION REPORT TO THE 2007 SEMI-ANNUAL FALL SESSION
SEPTEMBER 20, 2007
This past year has been a good year for your associational foundation. One donor gave $10,000 and another $40,000 bringing the money in the fund up to $100,000.
We give thanks to the two generous donors. For them, we give thanks and praise.
Now that the foundation’s fund has surpassed $50,000, the income generated from the principal will help fun mission work such as The ANSWER Center, Disaster Relief, and individual mission trips. This past year, 112 requests were submitted for funds to help finance missions.
One of the visions for the GVBA Foundation is to have enough revenue generated from the funds to adequately fund all local mission work and to help individual church members going on mission trips for Christ around the world.
A million dollars would greatly help. If you feel led, of God, to leave a lasting legacy for mission work, through the GVBA Foundation, contact Dr. Phillip Basinger or members of the Foundation Team.
